What an exciting week it has been at the library especially with the variety of activities we had going on.

Friday night was the Pre Chautauqua coffeehouse with Terry Little and Friends doing honor to Woody Guthrie.    It was standing room only for the crowd who enjoyed raisin spice cupcakes, toll house cookies, and popcorn during the show.  It was really fun especially the sing along at the end to “This Land is Your Land.”  Congratulations to Susanne Astley and her committee for a great job on this event!

Saturday was the “Little House on the Prairie” tea party with Cheryl Grimshaw doing a special music program to show off the violin and the banjo both instruments that would have been played during that time period.   There were 10 kids plus chaperones who had a good time.

Congratulations to King Cody Fink and Queen Amy Kerns, Prom Royalty crowned last Saturday night!  Cody has done volunteer work here at the library and he is a very nice young man so I was very happy to hear the news.

Congratulations to Ruth Wassinger for completing the Boston Marathon this week!  What an amazing achievement and completion of her goal.  She is just a great person anyway.

Church of the Holy Spirit is holding their annual Spring Luncheon tomorrow from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm including a bake sale, craft sale, and Betty’s exchange of buttons and fabrics.  Adults $7.00/Kids $3.00.  Ummm…nothing better than church food!

Overall, we all need to be getting outside enjoying this fabulous weather!  So, put together a picnic, take your kids to the park, support your favorite sports team, or just walk!
