We will start out at the Plattsmouth Community Center this week.   I found this item on their website and thought it was a great way to have a goal for working out this time of year. Make sure you check their website frequently for updates at:  http://www.plattsmouthcommunitycenter.com/.

1st Annual Lazyman Triathlon Challenge: Swim 2.5 miles, Bike 112 Miles, and Run 26 Miles.  This Triathlon began on Monday, February 1st but runs through Saturday, March 13th.  So there is pleny of time to accomplish these goals.  The fitness challenge means that in that six week period you will complete the distance a traditional tri-athlete completes in one day! Sign up at the registration desk for $10 and collect your well earned T-shirt at the end of the challenge!

Teen Dances start this Friday night, February 5th!  For $5 your 5th-8th grader can dance to DJ Skeeter or choose from an assortment of activities.  This is a parent drop off activity.  Snacks will be there or slices of pizza can be purchased for$1.50 apiece.  What a great way to offer something for kids to do without having to leave town or parents hanging around!

The Plattsmouth Conservancy meets Friday night, February 5, at 7:00 p.m. at 437 Main Street.  Allen Hudson is president this year.  They also have a very informative website with some great pictures of historical Plattsmouth at:  http://www.plattsmouthconservancy.org/events.

Don't forget your Sandals (although this time of year I would be wearing Tie Dye Socks with mine!), Peace Sign necklaces, or headbands to compete for the prizes! Food and Beverages are also encouraged!

Congratulations to Angie Neumiller for being named the Chamber's Businesswoman of the Year for 2009!  Her success is well deserved and best wishes to her for her future endeavors!

Have a good week and I will see everyone around town~
