Quote of the week:

Once in a young lifetime one should be allowed to have as much sweetness as one can possibly want and hold.

--  Judith Olney

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A SHORT STORY

A friend and I recently enjoyed some time together, going over some contracts and other plans for some business opportunities.  We talked about an airplane he recently purchased and how much time we’d save by my flying instead of driving to some speaking events.  That’s when we decided to take the plane out right then and there.

We arrived at the hangar and he pulled the plane out.  Then he pulled out a list of items to check on.  He called it his pre-flight list.  He read it out loud to me and showed me how he checked each item carefully.  Then we got in the cockpit and he continued to call out items and test each one, insuring that it worked correctly.  Only when he had worked through his entire list did he turn the ignition switch and crank the plane.  Then there was another list he worked through, making sure that all gauges were reading correctly and that all was well.

I was impressed by my friend’s preparations, especially knowing that if anything at all went wrong in the air, it could be fatal.

How well are you preparing to be positive today?
