SALES MANAGER – LIED LODGE & CONFERENCE CENTER, Nebraska City

 

Lied Lodge & Conference Center is seeking a seasoned, results-driven sales individual with a track record for building new relationships, one who takes an aggressive approach to maximizing operation revenues and guest room occupancy, and one who takes great care in nurturing the established relationships within the existing client base – all while passionately communicating the mission of inspiring people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees.  Owned and operated by the Arbor Day Foundation, Lied Lodge & Conference Center is located at Arbor Day Farm in Nebraska City, Nebraska and is a member of the esteemed International Association of Conference Centers (IACC).

 

This Sales Manager will serve as an integral part of the established and cohesive Lied Lodge sales team and will report to the Director of Sales. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable and capable in a variety of roles, including educating potential clients regarding all that Lied Lodge and Arbor Day Farm have to offer, streamlining the booking process for these clients, utilizing revenue maximization, and soliciting and realizing new business for the lodge.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sell hotel guest rooms, complete meeting packages, catering services, banquet facilities and Arbor Day Farm, through direct client contact, toward maximizing total operation revenues and mission-supporting profits.

 

Effectively handle sales negotiations, and expediently bring prospective clients to contract.

 

Focus on revenue-producing activities and maximize time spent on direct sales efforts.

 

Meet/exceed quarterly productivity goals.

 

Identify and capture new growth opportunities with existing clients.

 

Conducts tours of the hotel and conference center and entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures.

 

Research, contact and capture new accounts, targeting and soliciting those most likely to generate new business and maximize revenues.

 

Establish and maintain client base, through direct outside and inside sales efforts, for the purpose of maximizing hotel occupancies and revenues.

 

Consistently communicate the mission of the Foundation and the tangible and intangible value of partnering with the Foundation by visiting Lied Lodge & Conference Center and

Arbor Day Farm.

 

Coordinate internal and external services in order to meet/exceed client needs and specifications.

 

Assist with the development, implementation and achievement of the annual Sales Plan.

 

Represent Lied Lodge & Conference Center at trade shows, on sales blitzes, during familiarization (FAM) tours and at industry organization meetings.

 

Develop customer profiles and maintain an effective trace system in order to best meet client and operation needs.

 

Maintain well-documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management system in order to serve the client and employer in the most expedient, organized and knowledgeable manner.

 

The ability to respond to changing business needs.

 

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to individuals throughout the organization.

 

Ability to anticipate challenges/opportunities and to take proactive steps to resolve/take advantage of these.

 

Follows company policies and procedures and has the ability to effectively communicate them.

 

Qualifications
