“Sleeping Beauty” Children’s Theater Event at the Lofte
Manley, NE [June 9, 2015 ] - The Lofte Community Theatre in Manley is proud to announce that its summer children’s theater production, “Sleeping Beauty” will open on Saturday, June 13.  There are two public performances on this date.  Curtain times are at 3pm and 6pm.
The Lofte is hosting a week-long residency in cooperation with Missoula Children’s Theatre from Missoula, Montana.  In all, fifty-seven children (first graders through seventh graders) from the area are working hard and only have five days to learn lines, songs and choreography to bring this story to life.  Some of the fun characters in the show include Sleeping Beauty, the King and Queen as well as caterpillars, trolls and fairies!  Their directors are Molly Malady, from Charleroi, Pennsylvania and Whitney Ward from La Grande, Oregon.  Both have recently earned BA’s in the fine arts.
Lofte season ticket holders are entitled to one free ticket to the show.  Other tickets may be purchased for $10 (adults) and $8 (children) from the Lofte box office.  Those wishing to purchase tickets may call (402) 234-2553 or simply show up 30 minutes prior to showtime and purchase at the window.  This event is proudly sponsored by Plattsmouth State Bank and Pinnacle Bank of Louisville.
