Mayor Lambert proclaimed July 1st, 2023 as “Bill Brittain Day” in Plattsmouth

What a day!!! The celebration for 65 year member Bill Brittain went amazingly well and he was genuinely surprised by everything. From Omaha Fire Department Engine 30 stopping by as we picked him up to Ralston, Bellevue and Offutt Fire having trucks along the route to our station waving and showing their appreciation, it was all awesome and meant the world to Bill and his family. We also had a great crowd waiting for him at the station when he arrived. Bill was able to see and talk to several fire and rescue members he has not seen in a while as well as several friends. Thank you to Plattsmouth Mayor Lambert for attending and proclaiming July 1st 2023 as “Bill Brittain Day” in Plattsmouth. Channel 7 news also attended and did a story on Bill and his service. Dirty cars wanted! FLC Youth Group will be hosting a car wash fundraiser on Saturday, July 8th 9am-1pm in the north parking lot. The Youth will be accepting free-will donations for upcoming events, projects, and the 2025 LCMS National Youth Gathering in New Orleans. Back by popular demand, the $5 Lunch Deal (hot dog, chips, and drink) will be offered as the Youth wash your car.
